Valeria showed a lot of heart and compassion in my time of need. She helped explain a lot of daily processes (what kind of scans I would have, what time my meds would be given, and so forth). And she did it in a loving and compassionate way. She made me feel safe and at ease, especially in a difficult moment. Her dedication to nursing and the profession showed a lot of heart and compassion in what would usually be considered scary and intimidating. I consider her to be a friend, and if I ever end up in a scary situation again, I hope she will be around to ride out the storm with me.
