It isn't just one situation that I can tell you, it's every day. Every patient she treats with the same respect no matter what. Val gets many of the difficult families. She is patient and kind. She goes the extra mile every day. We had a little girl on the unit who was very hard to look at. She had a terrible skin condition. On the child's worst day, Val bathed her and caressed her as if she was her own. She talked to her and held her with such love.
