Valerie went above and beyond the call of duty. She was honest at all times and had integrity; she spoke to my daughter and explained what she was doing to make her feel comfortable. Her compassion was wonderful you can tell that she loves her job. The respect for us the family was also wonderful she kept us informed at all times with progress or what she needed to do. She always stayed accountable for her actions, if she told my daughter she was going to do something then she would do it. Her overall service was excellent to my daughter and our family. My daughter had different nurses but this one was the most extraordinary of them all. She had my daughter with smiles and comfortable while in her care.

Val has made my daughter's and our stay here at Children's very easy to deal with in this difficult and emotional time of our lives. I feel as if she never left us uninformed on procedures they were about to perform and knew of any and all assistance that not only my daughter needed, but my family's needs as well. She showed up every morning with a smile and concern on how or night was. It shows that she truly has a passion for her job and will go the extra mile with great respect for her patients and their loved ones. Nurse Val deserves to be recognized for her passion and effort to do the best she can each and every work day.
