I would like to take the opportunity to share my family's gratitude to the ICU nurses. I’d really like to thank one of the ICU nurses named Val Shaffer. She was my father-in-law's nurse for several shifts and she gave him the best care. Val was simply the kindest and so caring. She was so attentive to my father-in-law. Even when she wasn’t assigned to him for her shift she still would pop in to see how he was and talk to us for a few minutes to see how we were as well. The entire ICU team of nurses was great. However, Val really made an impression and stood out to us. I really wanted to make sure you knew what a great nurse she truly is. I know nurses have to be so tired after this past year. We are truly grateful! She is truly a special person and we are truly grateful that my father-in-law was in her care for multiple shifts. She took the time to answer all of my questions and explain things to us. She truly is a special nurse. All of the ICU nurses were great, however, Val really stood out.
