Valerie was caring for a patient who required surgery and noted that the incorrect site was marked in preparation for the procedure. Valerie made several calls to the physician teams to report her findings and was able to identify the correct site prior to the patient going to the operating room. Due to Valerie's advocacy, persistence and excellent skills, she kept her patient safe during his stay.
