In Cardio-Rehab, a patient has ample time to observe the unit with exercising. Valerie managed the unit with seamless precision, stocking, monitoring equipment, and always looking forward to the next responsibility. Her efforts were obvious when one looked around the unit. I was always amazed when Valerie multitasked moving from patient to patient making them feel as though they are the most important person in the world. Always attentive, I never saw her distracted with a cell phone or similar. She showed compassion and caring characteristics. She is almost a nursing anachronism, a professional living out the virtues associated with compassion. She had an ever-present smile and laughed at my bad jokes! Thank you Valerie for restoring my faith in nursing. Great Job!
