Nurse Val has such a huge heart. She had my father and charge nurse for a few nights. She always comes to greet my mom and me or whoever is in the room at the time. She pays close attention to the patient and the family needs. She’s never to busy to assist or answer questions. We tend to spend the night and she comes in to see if we need anything, she exudes the role of a nurse. She has been the best nurse we’ve ever had so far. One night she brought my mom snacks and talked to her to keep her calm. She speaks to my dad (the patient although he doesn’t hear very well but the compassion is always there. She is the beacon of light, and I wanted her work to not go unnoticed.
