My mother came to Freeman for two surgeries on her legs, which turned into a nightmare of a tailspin resulting in 5 minutes of CPR, and then on to the ICU. After some additional testing, the team found she had suffered a heart attack and rushed her into another surgery to help keep her alive and well. After this 3rd surgery, my mother was sedated heavily- the family- we were not sedated. It was a very scary time for us and extremely emotional.

When we got to the CVICU, Vance was there with the most excellent care I have ever seen from a nurse. He was not only very attentive to my ill mother, but he was a Godsend for us, her distraught family. He had calming and kind words that were so very needed. He took the time to explain many things to us and never made us feel like a bother to him. He gave my mom the best care, and I am beyond grateful for him and all the Freeman team! My mother is alive and doing awesome because of the care team here at Freeman, and there are no words to express our sincere gratitude for that.

Vance, you are a rockstar and a true asset to the team, and we will never forget you! Thank you, sir! You are a light to so many, I am sure, but you were most definitely our beacon in this rough storm, and we are so grateful for you!
