Vanessa Beckman, RN

Vanessa found out that a patient was a veteran. Vanessa then went out of her way one evening after her fourth 12-hour shift to go to her local American Legion to get this patient a special yard sign and an American flag to honor him for his service. The patient was so appreciative of her act of kindness. He said it made his day after many not-so-good days in our ICU. Vanessa continually goes out of her way to help any of her co-workers as well as provide excellent patient care!
