We were busy as a unit and another nurse and I were very behind on charting and had finally found time to sit down and attempt to chart, this was around 4pm. Vanessa was somewhat caught up and went down the hall and gave all my 4pm medications as well as the other nurse on the floor without us even asking or knowing. When she came back to the desk she told us all our 4pm medications were given so we could just go an assess the patient for our rounds instead of having to pull all the medications too. This is just one of many examples of why Vanessa is the prime example of what a DAISY Nurse is. She not only takes excellent care of her patients but also takes care of her co-workers.
