I was recently at Mountain View when my father was a patient on the 4th floor in mid-November. I was very impressed with Vanessa who was extraordinary in her attentiveness, effective communication skills, and dedication. She went above and beyond to keep my family informed while providing excellent care for my dad. Communication between the family and the doctor is a very important issue when dealing with a seriously ill family. I have to add not many of the nurses are willing to provide that kind of reassurance. Her professionalism, knowledge and patience and friendly manner made the stay much more bearable, but most important she was great at keeping the family informed. My Dad has severe hearing loss and communicating one on one is very challenging but she was very skilled at conveying the information he needed which alleviated much of his anxiety while there. She gave me confidence that my dad was in good hands at your hospital and for that, I'm grateful and appreciative. It's difficult enough to be there when a family member is suffering and all the nurses I encountered were professional and courteous, but Vanessa stood out for her warmth and knowledge and attentiveness.
