Vanessa Camacho truly deserves the DAISY Award because she has shown me that there are nurses who still care. Vanessa assessed my husband as I assessed patients back in the day, but haven't seen it done since. I was shocked that she did all the things you are supposed to do, like listening to the lungs and abdomen and checking for swelling. She was always there with a smile She was concerned and had compassion. I thought when I retired, nursing bit the dust, but I have found another. She truly deserves this award. You are lucky to have her.

In the last 5 years, I have fallen on bad health and have, unfortunately, been in almost every hospital. I can honestly say this nurse has been the best and most caring, friendly one I've had so far. Thanks!
