I write this letter on behalf of all the patients that are too sleepy to realize the excellent care they are receiving while in Vanessa's loving arms. They awaken to a sweet little voice trying to coax them to open their eyes, completely unaware they have been placed in the hands of a true "nurse angel".
What I admire most about Vanessa is that she lives the "humancare promise" with all patients and families. Her care of patients is mission driven in that she treats everyone with the utmost dignity and respect. Vanessa's patients always have wonderful things to say about her. She has received numerous "shout outs" on Facebook as well as being the number one request to care for employees or their family after having procedures or surgeries.
She is also one of the charge nurses, not only because of her clinical knowledge in this field but also because of her critical thinking skills and commitment to delivering safe quality care for all. She has a kindness and compassion that contributes to our motto of #ittakesavillage.
A person like Vanessa is hard to find, and I am blessed to work beside her daily. Thank you Vanessa.
