Vanessa exemplifies everything that DAISY stands for and more. When you are receiving care, getting a procedure you wish you didn’t need, filled with anxiety, and a wish to be anywhere else but nowhere else, that sense of community makes you feel as though you are the most important patient. From the moment my wife was brought back from the waiting area into Day Surgery, her care, confidentiality, and privacy were at the forefront and of the utmost concern in every action Vanessa took. Vanessa took care of us on the worst day of our lives, and we are forever grateful that it was her.
