Vanessa has been a nurse at CCMC in the NICU since April 2018. During her 6 years here, she has shined and excelled in everything she does. Vanessa has mastered the admit nurse role, is an ECMO specialist and a preceptor to our newly hired nurses, graduate nurses, and student nurses in the NICU. She is an active member of the unit Collaborative Care Council and a member of the Kangaroo Care Committee. Vanessa obtained Clinical Ladder 1, expanding her knowledge through quality improvement, continuing education, and service excellence. Vanessa goes above and beyond everything she does here at CCMC. She brings a positive attitude to work every day and is viewed as a role model amongst her coworkers. She is a team player who is greatly respected by her peers and colleagues.

Vanessa’s presence makes an emotional time a little lighter. The compassion, patience, and professionalism she displays day in and day out make a lasting impact on all the patients and families she cares for.
