Vanessa is an excellent Supervisor. She does her best to staff all floors appropriately and is always willing to help. She remains calm during code situations. We had a recent Rapid Response Call and the patient became soiled during the code. Vanessa stayed after the code was over and helped clean the patient and change the bed. We knew she had many other things she needed to do yet she took the time to assist. During very busy times, she has stayed at the Nursing Station and helped answer calls.
Vanessa has many years of experience, and if she does not know the answer to a question, she will find it for you. She is a great resource for the CNs, and all staff working the night shift.
Vanessa has been an employee with Baptist for 30 years. She has worked in several areas of the hospital during her nursing career. I am fortunate that she now is a House Supervisor on nights. Vanessa is dependable, caring, and helpful to the staff. She routinely gives excellent feedback, suggestions, and praise when it comes to nursing and the care we provide our patients. Vanessa is methodical and fair with how she handles staffing and always gives an explanation when needed. She is always willing to lend a hand to any floor in need.
