Vanessa spent all day taking care of a very challenging patient who was medically unwell and unstable, with agitated delirium and difficult IV access. Vanessa (as always) was unfailingly pleasant and kind to the patient and her family. Caring for this patient was exhausting and Vanessa never lost her cool. She is always an impressively compassionate nurse but on this day she was extraordinary.
