Vanessa Quintanilla, BSN, RN
My patient had AMS. Vanessa was on point in recognizing the change in condition. She was well informed and took immediate action. I could function as a doctor properly because she was truly my eyes and ears. Without her actions, the patient would have died. She caught a diagnosis which prevented full renal failure in the patient. If anyone is deserving of this award, it would be Vanessa. I hope HCA Pearland does everything possible to keep her and continue to create an environment where more RNs like her can be present!
