We were transferred to a level 1 trauma center here at GSAM. That is how he ended up in Vanessa's care after being moved to a critical care room following late-night surgery. Both I and our kids were very impressed with Vanessa on multiple levels. First and foremost, she was very attentive to my husband’s needs, checking in on him frequently and doing her best to keep his pain level under control. She has a wonderful, soothing bedside manner and is unfailingly cheerful. The other thing we really appreciated was that she patiently and thoroughly answered every question we had and believe me, there were many. She mentioned that she is not always in critical care unit so I feel very blessed that she was the two days my husband was in critical care.
