Vanessa Simet, BSN, RN

This nurse is one of the reasons I look forward to coming to work every day. Not only has she become a dear friend of mine, but also a mentor and someone I sincerely look up to as a fellow nurse. Vanessa is one of the most helpful, kind, and compassionate people I know. She truly embodies everything it means to be a nurse. I cannot even point out one particular instance as to why Vanessa is a DAISY Nurse. Whether it is a code or simply coming down to help with cleaning a patient or questions about patient care, Vanessa is there to help regardless of how busy she might be. She is one of the most courageous and intelligent nurses I have come across at NYU. It is truly an honor to work with her and I would love to see her be honored with this award for all her hard work and dedication to the nursing practice and patient care.
