You made a very bad last day as comfortable as it could be.
Dear Vanessa, I have attempted to write some words of thanks to you more times than I can recall. There simply are no words to adequately share the depth of appreciation and respect that I feel for you. So, I will do my best, because you deserve recognition beyond measure!

On behalf of my family, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the exceptional, loving care that you gave to my Mom. Without hashing out the details, which are forever burned into my brain, suffice it to say that you went far, far beyond the call of duty. Mom was not an easy patient, she had many complications and was truly suffering. Your attentiveness and caring were off the charts. Please know that she knew and appreciated all that you did. You made a very bad last day as comfortable as it could be. I did not ever think it was her last day. I know you did not either because I watched you fight to save her with all you had, long after your shift ended. You truly exemplify what a Nurse should be. You embody our HCA mission and values: Above all else, You are committed to the care and improvement of human life. You are committed to excellence always: every action, every patient, every time. May God richly bless you and your family. You will forever be in my heart and prayers.
