Vanessa, she is a natural! Vanessa is a blessing.
This was my son's first hospital stay and he wasn't sure what to expect. The day my son had his biopsy on his neck, Vanessa came in at 7:00 pm and was assigned to us. She introduced herself and then was updated on my son's medical condition. She assessed him and began talking through what was going to take place. She saw his dressing was saturated with blood and she said she was going to take care of it by cleaning and changing it out. She appeared to be confident about what she was doing and did it well. Her demeanor made my son comfortable and he trusted her to cover his IV so he could shower. She took the time to educate him on everything she was doing. Vanessa also did a safe catch of going over my son's chest and noticed he was supposed to be on fluids. She immediately got him started on it.
