Venetia Bass went above and beyond for a patient and her family.
An expectant mother was brought in for treatment when she could no longer feel her baby move; the baby was still born. The family made hand and feet impressions of the infant. At the patient's request to see the impressions, the hand molds could not be located. Venetia Bass immediately called administration to ask permission to have the baby brought back to the unit to have them recreated. This was heartwarming to the Grandmother, since she had traveled a long distance to see and hold the baby.
