Venita Elkins 2, RN

Venita was very knowledgeable and efficient in her job. She hardly ever had to leave to get something to complete a task. My husband was admitted to OMH on from the Emergency Department. He had emergency surgery the following day. Venita was our nurse for about 6 or 7 days in PCU. She was always responsive to the call button request. Her quiet and calm nature helped me to calm down. At one point I was totally out of sorts. Venita spoke calmly and was very sympathetic. She emailed the on-call Dr. at that time with my questions. She even hugged me and told me everything would be fine. She said she would call me to give me an update. She helped me get my thoughts and questions in order. She even helped me look up test results on My Chart. In my opinion, she was an ANGEL during an hour of need. There were many other reasons for me to compliment her. I thank God for her and her attention she gave to my husband and myself.
