In Optometry a young male patient had an elevated BP of 184/105. Verlynn discovered that the patient had stopped taking his medications and was asymptomatic. Verlynn then developed a connection with the member and productively worked with him. A repeat BP was 192/130. She convinced the patient to go the Urgent Care and walked him to Urgent Care to ensure he arrived. His life was productively managed and received the appropriate treatment that he was not going to seek.
