I don’t even know where to begin. Ms. Nena wasn’t my nurse, but she was in my room every day that I was here. Her caring and nurturing spirit is truly what sustained me during this visit. She was there to wipe my tears. She was there to pray with me and for me.

She was there to encourage me when I thought I would have to take leave from school. She was there to push me to advocate for myself. She continuously reminded me not to give up on becoming a nurse. I wouldn’t have made it through this stay without her attention to not only my physical needs but my emotional needs as well.
