Verona is an amazing selfless registered nurse who is extremely dedicated and passionate about her profession. She has gone out of her way on many an occasion in order to promote the best in patient care and safety. I have personally witnessed several of these occasions and have heard and read many patient testimonials about the extraordinary care she provides to her patients and the teamwork and spirit she displays to our staff and colleagues. She continually receives patient compliments and "shining stars" every month. She does her job professionally and clearly loves what she does.

Patients continually express their compliments of her consistent, timely, warm, and assuring care from Verona. She takes initiative with a passion for making our patients feel better. Recently when the hospital was under an emergent shortage of glucometer solutions, Verona inquired from neighboring hospitals and offered to drive and retrieve the required item from a sister facility to ensure patients would be able to receive their glucometer readings in a timely manner. This was a selfless act that greatly impacted patient care and safety and prevented a delay in care.
