Veronica Boozer, RN

There's no easy way to be in the hospital for an extended stay - especially when the goal is to go home.  But sometimes the right person enters the room and completely changes how the experience feels. That person for us was Veronica B.

Veronica brought the same professional expertise and confident care as every great nurse, but she did it with something more: warmth, humor, and humanity.  Her upbeat, relatable personality instantly lifted the spirits of our whole family.  She made the room feel lighter, even on tough days.  She made our dad, husband, brother and friend - feel seen as a person, not just a patient.

Veronica became a trusted figure in our extended hospital journey.  Her ability to explain why we needed to stay, while still honoring our desire to go, helped us shift from restless to reassured.  When discharge finally came, we felt ready.  And that confidence came from her.
