I am honored to nominate Veronica for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award, as her unwavering commitment and dedication to nursing support significantly impact our organization. Veronica exemplifies efficiency and helpfulness in every facet of nursing; her contributions often go unnoticed because of her tireless work ethic. She is truly an essential presence operating across various departments with remarkable versatility and dedication, much like an octopus with its far-reaching tentacles. I have observed her involvement with numerous critical areas including staffing and scheduling, virtual clinics, Clarvia, Magnet writing, nurse research sub council activities amongst many others, she is a walking encyclopedia. Often, we overlook the vital roles played by those behind the scenes; while she may not have direct patient contact, Veronica is one of those individuals who is always present, always willing to help, and wholly dedicated. A recent example of her commitment was during our evidence-based practice competition; despite just returning from vacation, she dedicated her evening to preparing questions for the competition and nursing teams. Her relentless commitment to excellence is nothing short of inspiring, especially in an era when motivation may wane. It is hard to envision our team without her contributions, and her work exemplifies the very vision of the DAISY Award, reflecting a spirit of excellence, innovation, and relentless pursuit of knowledge to benefit nursing and patient care
