Dr. Veronica Peters is an Assistant Professor at Indiana Wesleyan University.  Veronica serves as Division Chair for IWU's Transition to Nursing Program.  The nominations for Dr. Peters included students acknowledging her as one of the most kind-hearted people they have ever met. 
She truly cares about her students inside and outside of the course. She never hesitated to set up a meeting so that she could personally go over the material with me so that I wouldn't fall behind, and I wasn't leaving until I understood the present material. She also was very flexible and understanding when it came to missing assignments. Professor Peters wants nothing more than to see her students succeed, which is why she takes her teaching so personally. She wants her students to be well prepared for their future careers, and I believe she is doing that, and more.
