My husband was admitted after having a massive stroke. Veronica was his nurse. Every time she would come in and review with me, as the spouse, and decision-maker, what had happened during my absence and what tests or care was being provided. She explained what each medicine was for and possible side effects. Any questions I needed answers for, she provided and many times would contact the doctor to request orders or get clarification for me.
Veronica always projected professionalism. She was cheerful in spite of the stress from family. My husband had many complex health issues, and I have no doubt that she was responsible for his quality care at critical times.
Veronica is the epitome of quality nursing.
