Veronica made a surgery happen that might not have if she didn't go above and beyond. During my PACE Clinic leading up to my hip surgery, my EKG came back as abnormal. So, I needed to go see a Cardiologist. She set up an appointment for Monday and surgery was scheduled for Thursday. The doctor called in sick and the appointment was canceled. New appointment scheduled for Tuesday evening at 5:40. Long story short, he ordered a stress test to be done which could take 3 to 5 business days to set up. I called to try and get in on Wednesday, the day before surgery. No go they said!! So, I called Veronica and updated her on the situation. That is when she started working her magic and was able to convince them to do my testing on Wednesday. So, testing was complete. But, we still needed the Cardiologist to look at testing and reply with a yes/no release. They were sent all the paperwork from Veronica and would fax the results. Veronica even came in after her working hours on her own time Wednesday to check on the fax. She called me Thursday morning and told me the good news and surgery was a go.
Without her extra above and beyond hard work and attitude, I would have not had surgery and missed out as the doctor I had is retiring. She is a DAISY Nurse.
