A patient called for a follow-up call after discharge. This patient would like Veronica recognized for her care. This patient is bipolar and stated that Veronica took time to explain things and when she got tearful, Veronica offered her a hug. This patient states she was very grateful for this gesture as it was the first hug she had been given in YEARS! Thank you, Veronica, for understanding how human contact provides healing to our patients.
