I was tearful and depressed, and Vibeke was the first person I saw. She was so upbeat and confident.
Vibeke is a wonderful nurse who overflows with a great, positive attitude. Her positivity flows to her coworkers, patients, and their families.

I am writing to speak about my nurse, Vibeke. I am 10 days post-op from having a gastric sleeve done. I came in at 3 am through the ER with a temperature of 103.1. By the time I arrived at my room (around 7 am), I was achy, tired, and just wanted to figure out where my labile temperature was coming from. I've had two sets of blood cultures and 2 CT scans in the last 8 days, all of which were negative. I was tearful and depressed, and Vibeke was the first person I saw. She was so upbeat and confident. She got all of my IV antibiotics running. Not feeling well, I asked for some pain medications-- which I did not have ordered. She said I will page the doctor and she did relentlessly until she came in with an answer and medication. I am also a nurse, and I know how hectic a new admission can be before you even start the day. Vibeke made me feel as if I was her only patient. She was so patient and thorough with me and my needs. No one likes the hospital. Only I must have done something right for God to give her to be my nurse. I know the other doctors and staff members think highly of her. When I said her name to others, each one chimed in and said, what a sweetheart she is!

Vibeke is a true 10 stars! She is courteous, thorough, kind, considerate, and knowledgeable. She explained in detail each step in my care. She also gave me expert instructions for home follow up. She is a true 10. I wish all nurses were like her. She made my hospital a pleasant one...that is if hospital stays can ever be pleasant.

The person I got to know best was my Vibeke, who was my nurse for most of my time under this very personally trying circumstance. I can hardly find enough ways to compliment and praise this extraordinary person. To say she was capable, attentive, caring, and comforting grossly understates the truth of this woman's excellence.
