My 86-year-old grandmother was admitted to Kaiser Roseville for pneumonia/secondary pneumonia after a fall five days prior. During her stay, Vickey came in several times as a break nurse and did an outstanding job taking care of my grandmother and providing information and resources for my grandmother, my family, and myself. Several times over the three days (possibly more hoping for discharge currently) I ran into her in the halls when she was assigned as a break nurse to my grandmother. Vickey stopped to ask how my grandmother and family were doing. She also helped explain different levels of in-patient and palliative care to us. Her compassion and patient care should be exemplified as a level that other nurses should strive for. I could not be happier with her patient care and compassion for us and our family.

I hope we have her again while we are still in here and hope to again thank her personally.
