From the first time we were at the hospital to the third time being at the hospital, Vicki took care of me two of those times. She made us feel very comfortable like we were her own kids. Vicki was not one to push me into making a decision that I did not want; she made us aware of all our options. She made us feel like she knew exactly what we wanted. She has a very good sense of humor and really made me laugh when I needed a laugh. She was there when I needed to talk and express some feelings or frustrations. Vicki is the kind of person that would sit and listen to anything you had to sail. She makes time for her patients. Vicki always had a smile on her face, which always made us smile. When I finally cam in on December 7, 2009 in a lot of pain, she was the first one to greet me at the elevator. That was a huge relief as I had, had her on my first visit to labor and delivery two weeks prior.
Having Vicki and Dr. Betsy Winga as my labor and delivery nurse and my OB doctor, made the delivery of our son an easy one. I can only hope that Vicki and Dr. Winga are around for the birth of the rest of our children. We love them both and Vicki and Dr. Winga are both deserving of this award, but I can only choose one and I choose Vicki Franko.
