On the morning of the surgery, Vicki was going over the paperwork with me and asking questions and telling me about the procedure. She asked if I would like for a member of the clergy to come and have a word of prayer with me and I told her "Yes I did". Soon after things started speeding up a bit and she told me that time was short and that someone was not available to have a prayer with me. "Then she looked at me and said, Mr. D., I would love to have prayer with you and your family if it's okay with you. Well, my wife and I and Vicki held hands and she said a prayer that was a most comforting and calming prayer and was what I was in need of to let me know and to remind me that everything was going to be alright. To Vicki, I want you to know that for me, you were the one who "God" wanted to have prayer with me. To me, your prayer was genuine. You shared your faith and hope that I was going to be in good hands and that everything was going to be alright. But most importantly, you showed "love" for being willing to share a moment of your time in prayer and kindness. Thank you so very much.

I was able to see through Vicki's care of me and others that she has a servant's heart. A man in the area I was in, had dementia and had an "accident" and she was caring and professional, and not ruffled at all. She has a sweet personality and made me feel like a million bucks! I'm thankful to all who cared for me during my stay.
Vicki made me feel comfortable like I was a friend. I don't tend to be needy and like to be self-sufficient. Her care was just right.
Thanks again for all you do. I'm looking forward to years (hopefully) of no afib. When and if it comes back (told it always comes back) I'll look forward to seeing you all again.
