There always seems to be that one nurse during a stay that makes everything so much better and everyone comfortable. For this visit, for H it has been Miss Vickie on the Peds floor at Mercy. H was given a Barbie doll from her nana and papa yesterday and today with her tube (finally) in place, Miss Vickie had the great idea to give the doll a tube just like H because the doll was having troubles with her tummy too. Watching her do this and take so much time to sit with H makes my heart beat a little stronger knowing there are such great people out there. Miss Vickie is that 'happy medicine' in human form and we've been very grateful for her during our stay!
