Vickie was my nurse at the cancer center for a procedure that should have taken 2 ½ - 3 hours. Mine was four hours long and for a little more than three of those hours, I was on a board that didn't allow me to move. I was done with the rod insert and a CT scan and back in the holding room. Time moved very slowly as back and knee pain began to set in. Vickie was very accommodating. She massaged my back and put a rolled towel under one of my knees that was in pain. She stayed, held my hand and talked to me until the doctors were ready to give me my treatment. Had she not done that, I would have probably pulled out the rods and gone home! Kudos to Vickie!
