Vickie is certainly a role model to me, both personally and professionally. Her patient care is exemplary. While working with her I have watched her bring gifts to patients she has connected with. One time I even watched her share her lunch with a patient who didn't get a proper dinner due to a late surgery. As charge, Vickie does not hesitate to take on a patient when other nurses are struggling. The most menial tasks are never above her. I have walked in countless times and seen Vickie doing "CNA" work with no complaints. Her positive attitude is unflagging and contagious.

Recently I asked Vickie about the hospital's absence policy. She didn't know much about it as she has only missed work 1 - 2 times in the last 7 years that she has worked here. She is dedicated to patients as well as all of us. Vickie has been the one to learn about my personal life. Probably without even knowing it, she inspires me and encourages me to live up to my potential. She has truly made an impact on my life. While Vickie is an unassuming person it is my opinion and the opinion of many others that she fully exemplifies compassion, diligence, and strong commitment to the patients at this hospital.
