Vicky Sirovy, LPN

Vicky always goes above and beyond. There is not a single time where she has gone into a patient room and has been crabby. She is also extremely helpful to staff. We have been short-staffed, especially during the COVID pandemic, and the number of patients on continuous observation has increased significantly. When she is able, Vicky will come to the floor and give the sitters breaks. This is an example of all of the DAISY criteria listed. By Vicky going above and beyond and helping us and doing something not necessarily in her job description, we (collective hospital-wide "we") are able to provide safer care for our Veterans as we have more staff on the units. She is always so positive and cheerful. She is the perfect example of ICARE values. As far as demonstrating extraordinary clinical skills... they don't call her "One Stick Vic" for nothing! Nobody likes getting poked extra times, and she is a true professional at not sticking people more than necessary for lab draws!
