Victor shows compassion for all patients he cares for. Caring for each as if they were his own family, all while he is across the world from his own family. We recently had a patient who was larger than most. The patient was very uncomfortable in his bed and continued to ask for help repositioning. Without hesitation, Victor repositioned the patient more times than I could count, did it with a smile on his face, and made sure to do his best to make the patient as comfortable as possible. Victor is probably our strongest nurse, but I know that it was still hard to reposition the patient, due to his size, but Victor never acted phased by this. This was not his only patient that day, but his care for this patient made it seem as if he WAS the only patient. Victor took all the time needed, no matter what else he had going on, and paid attention to the smallest details in the patient’s comfort. Victor is the kind of nurse that we should all aim to be, and I would be honored if he took care of me or my family.
