It is a privilege to write this letter to recognize Victoria Ayala's hard work and dedication. She is an extraordinary nurse who goes above and beyond for our patients. She mostly works with our OB team and as we know we sometimes get patients who are new to the country and have not received any OB care. Victoria, like every morning, was reviewing her OB registration schedule, when she noticed that she had a patient who was 41 weeks and 5 days pregnant. The patient also had gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes. No prenatal care other than when she was seen at OB triage. Victoria called the patient to let her know that she needed to go straight to the hospital to OB triage. Patient reported that she also had transportation issues and would not be able to go to the hospital. Victoria did her magic and helped the patient with transportation. Patient was admitted and they delivered her that day. This is one example of what she does every single day. She is always looking at the patients on our schedule and bringing them in sooner for prenatal care. She is always helping with coordinating the needs the patients have and also breaking any barriers giving them the resources. We are extremely lucky to have such an amazing, smart, and dedicated nurse like you Victoria. Thank you for all that you do!
