There are many examples of how Victoria has made a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. Victoria goes above and beyond daily to meet the needs of our patients. This may include visiting the hospital gift shop, local pharmacy, or another store to obtain patient items such as denture paste back scratchers and whatever else a patient may mention they need but don't have a way to obtain while hospitalized. She also spends an unimaginable amount of time searching for missing patient belongings.

Most recently, a patient was admitted through the Emergency Department. His medical care required his clothing and other belongings to be removed for a period of time. A few days later Victoria received a call from the patient. He was devastated that his necklace had not made it back to him with his other items. The necklace was a special necklace. It contained the ashes of his grandchild. Victoria was heartbroken for this patient. She made calls, searched high and low in her department, as well as other floors the patient received care on. Because of her determination and a heart full of compassion Victoria's efforts led to the necklace being found and returned to the patient. Victoria models extraordinary nursing care and is a true DAISY Nurse.

Thank you, Victoria, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
