Victoria has been as RN at RMH on the night shift since March 2019. From the first day she started at RMH, she has had a positive, "can-do" attitude and has gone above and beyond for her patients and coworkers.
Recently, we admitted a patient who was gravely disabled, homeless, and had no family at the bedside. The nurse working with Victoria that night said, "She went above and beyond showing this patient compassionate care. She scrubbed his feet and reassured him when he was anxious and afraid. She provided him a calming presence when he had no one else."
Victoria exemplifies our core values of dignity, compassion, justice, excellence, and integrity. We are lucky to have a nurse like Victoria Garcia at Redwood; she is a true DAISY Nurse.
