A nurse in a hospital can make such a difference in a patient's stay, recovery, and general health. Having been unexpectedly ill with a severe case of necrotizing pancreatitis, I spent time at both USC VHH and USC Keck and I met many nurses along the way. I have returned to USC VHH for thyroplasty surgery to fix my vocal cords from my intubation injuries of 2017. During my stay here, I met an amazing nurse, Victoria. She is smart, skilled, and energetic but calm, truly responsive and a special person inside. She uplifts the heart. Victoria helped me through recovery from the surgery which has made a difference. I am so grateful to her and encourage you to recognize the difference that she makes in people's lives!
