Victoria Horton, RN

We have had the best nurses and CNAs for my mother's care during her stay at BRMC. I am very proud of the nurses and staff and we are very fortunate to have them in our community. Several stand out as the best but Victoria is at the top of my list. Her compassion for not only my mom but my husband and me as well has been exceptional from day one.

Even when she did not have my mom as "her" patient, she would stop in to see her. There is not just one instance of her going above and beyond her call of duty as an RN, but many. Her communication skills between RN and patient/patient families and doctors are exceptional. She took the time to explain to us on more than one occasion doctors' notes and helped relate concerns to the doctors.

Victoria's professionalism and knowledge are commendable. She is a great example of a very caring nurse and sets the bar high for other medical personnel. She helped to customize my mom's dietary needs to help her be able to meet her dietary intake needs. The list goes on and on.

P.S. - As a young lady, in her chosen profession, I expect to see her continue to grow and go up the career ladder quite quickly. Her consideration and support of my mom and I made a difference in her recovery.
