She is the best nurse I have ever encountered, both with her energy and the love she pours into the patients.
My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the Nantz Institute at Methodist about a year ago, and since that time, he has fallen off a cliff mentally due to the aggressive state of his condition. He has 24/7 care and recently was having shortness of breath and a bad EKG reading when EMS arrived. He was transported with me via ambulance to St. Luke's ER because Methodist was saturated, and the power outages caused chaos this week.

My sister-in-law and I were reluctant to go to St. Luke's initially because her family has been closely tied to Methodist for decades due to the donations and generosity they have provided to the hospital system for many years from a charitable standpoint. I was also a longtime Methodist devotee, as well, despite occasionally being treated by other facilities. When there are towers named after relatives or kin, it makes natural sense to use those facilities, which is why I always chose Methodist.

The job Tori did was so impressive that I felt compelled to write this, and I am in tears as I am writing because of the compassionate care that Tori extended to my father. I am personally in the business of helping people financially who are catastrophically injured, and often they are denied the dignity and proper treatment they deserve by caregivers and staff at facilities where they are treated. Unfortunately, sometimes that is because they do not have the means to seek better options, or they are pre-judged when they walk through the door.

I would feel very comfortable with any of my injured claimant clients being treated at St. Luke's after this experience. Tori was so patient with my father with a kindness and a keen understanding that he struggles to understand what is being asked of him. She knew exactly what needed to be done. She is the best nurse I have ever encountered, both with her energy and the love she pours into the patients.

I asked her what her dream job was, and she told me it was working at St. Luke's, which was even more amazing to hear. You have a great one on your staff! She is so great, I even made a donation in Tori's honor.I know that my sister-in-law feels the same way about the treatment despite her love of Methodist. While Methodist is still held dear in the hearts of our family, St. Luke's deserves the proper recognition based on what I witnessed personally. I will never have my father treated anywhere else.
***
I echo the sentiments of the prior message. Tori was an angel in scrubs and could not have made my father-in-law feel more comfortable at any point during his stay. She radiates joy, and you can tell she truly loves her job. It is very apparent that she not only enjoys helping patients but also making their loved ones equally comfortable. I hope this encourages Tori to keep up the tremendous work she is doing. May she continue to bless your team with her obvious and abundant gifts. Thanks again to your team for taking incredible care of our family.
