Her dedication to the underserved and community health in the local area is a role model to myself and her colleagues.
I am writing to highly recommend Victoria Palomar for their outstanding commitment to community service and commitment to Kaiser. Vicky has worked for the organization for 30 years. She dedicates her time at work as well as time outside of work to Kaiser. It is a pleasure to provide this letter of recommendation for the DAISY Award on behalf of such a dedicated and compassionate individual. I have had the privilege of knowing Victoria for 15 years, during which I have witnessed their unwavering dedication to making a positive impact in our community. She has actively participated in a variety of community service initiatives, demonstrating both leadership and a deep sense of responsibility.

One of Victoria’s most notable contributions has been her involvement with the Pistahan Parade and Festival. She played a pivotal role in the Kaiser involvement. She gathered supplies for the blood pressure screening, glucose screening as well as promoted volunteering with the nurses all over Kaiser. Victoria has displayed leadership with the facilitated Pistahan with Kaiser for the 2022 and 2023 year for the San Francisco Bay Area underserved community. Attending multiple meetings in preparation for the two-day health fair, as well as doing set up and breakdown for the Kaiser health fair booth.

Her dedication to the underserved and community health in the local area is a role model to myself and her colleagues. Just recently, she received an award from her Alma mater Far Eastern University for community service in front of 500 guests. Victoria is so enthusiastic about the Kaiser and the SSF community and giving back that she leads the flu vaccination clinic at the SSF City hall yearly with Kaiser nurses every October. She also has involved many Kaiser nurses in the flu clinic and community service projects with the local Lions SSF club.

In addition to Victoria’s exceptional contributions to community service, she is also a charge nurse and rapid response nurse that everyone goes to ask questions of knowledge and look for her clinical judgment in situations. She has consistently demonstrated a high level of dedication and integrity in all aspects of her life.I have no doubt that Victoria will continue to excel in their future community service endeavors and make a lasting positive impact on the lives of those they serve. Vicky not only mentors many nurses, but also is involved with the nurse unit council. She is dedicated to her patients as I have overheard many patients talk about what an amazing nurse she is, caring for them and their loved ones. I wholeheartedly recommend her for the DAISY Award as she has dedicated her career to Kaiser for over thirty years at this organization.
