Numerous patients and families over the years have asked for her to be acknowledged and commented on her extraordinary care
We would like to nominate Victoria for a DAISY Award and recognize her dedication to her career as a nurse over many years at Southeast Health and now as nurse manager on Family Birth Unit.  She has been diligent to further her nurse career with courses of education and certifications in order to excel in competency in her specialty for patient care and for staff on the unit as a manager.  She continues to seek out further education and certifications for her nursing specialty.  She has encouraged and been a confidant for staff and coworkers to maintain unity throughout the years.  She has helped hold our unit together in times that seemed to be in somewhat difficult situations and occasions. She took it upon herself to shoulder responsibility and continue to fill in for others when needed for unit for a multitude of duties and also grounded our unit to encourage each to stand by each other in hard times the last few years and pulled us through a lot to maintain our unit. For this, we would like her to be recognized as our outstanding nurse.

She has initiated a care gift basket previously for patients while in the hospital and provided personal supplies for patients when in need. The patients are very appreciative of the gestures.  She has shown proven leadership in her role for coworkers and provided a reliable mentor resource for employees and new employees. She has always gone above her duties to make sure all patients and families receive professional care and feel they are always a priority. She has held responsibility and accountability to appropriately resolve patient or family concerns and reassured them of our and the facility's concern to make sure of any resolutions for issues or care.  A nurse advocate for each patient and family member is encouraged and Victoria provides excellent communication between staff, doctors, patient, families for the best care, and safest care, and understanding of care while at the hospital.

Numerous patients and families over the years have asked for her to be acknowledged and commented on her extraordinary care and on return visits request her because they remember her caring attitude and her extra effort to care and provide for each patient and her willingness to advocate for them. We wish to commend her and show appreciation for all her nursing healthcare achievements, supportive encouragement for each unit member and team unity for coworkers, and loyal dedicated service to patients and families over many years in healthcare.
